Condolence Assembly

It is said “Old go to death, but death comes to the young”. It is the fact that which is most troublesome and we all have to bear the pain of the irreparable loss which is created by the untimely demise of our beloved Principal Rev. Fr. Mahesh D’souza. It is birth which is followed by death. Death is the reality of this mortal world.
On 21st October 2019 the school, students, Vice Principal, head teachers, teachers along with the Correspondent Very Rev. Fr. Denis D’sa, Assistant Parish priest Fr. Ashwin Aranha, the Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council Mr. Wilson D’souza, the members of the Managing Committee Mr. Julian Rodrigues, Mr. Melwyn Aranha, Mrs. Diana Saldanha paid homage to the founder Principal Rev. Fr. Mahesh D’souza.
A prayer service was conducted by the pupils, praying for the departed soul of Fr. Mahesh. Later the Correspondent, Vice President of the Parish Council, all the members of the Managing Committee, head teachers, all the teachers, non-teaching staff, all the staff of school buses and school lunch home, class representatives paid their homage by offering floral tribute to the portrait of Fr. Mahesh.
The correspondent of the school Very Rev. Fr. Denis D’sa, in his condolence message expressed about his acquaintance with Fr. Mahesh and the dreams he had for the school. He addressed the students to continue their studies with the influence, spirit and footsteps which Fr. Mahesh has left behind. He encouraged the students and the staff to take over the baton of academics and to run the race in the field of education.
The correspondent blessed the school, classrooms, office rooms, students and teachers with incense and holy water while the students prayed through the hymn ‘showers of blessings’.
Among the students Ginnel Quadros of class X expressed her feelings and from the staff Mrs. Irine Rodrigues shared her memories with Fr. Mahesh. Nasuha of class X proposed the vote of thanks and Ria D’souza of class X compered the assembly.

Though your smile has gone forever
And your voice we cannot hear
We have so many good memories
Of you when you were here.
Your memory is our keepsake
With which we will never part
God has you in his keeping
We have you in our hearts.
The Teachers, Staff and Students
Will always remember you,
As we walk down the portals
Of our beloved Don Bosco School.
We will always remember
The hard work you put in
To grade us from State board to CBSE status
Passionate, firm, methodical
Yet approachable and willing.
A great friend and a wonderful human being
But a real hero for our youth wing.
Fr. Mahesh – your work on this earth was of eternal value,
And because of that, you will have an eternal reward.
We say that he has “departed”, but God says that you have “arrived”.
Dear Fr. Mahesh – you are and will always be our Guiding Light……
