Vanamotasva

On July 11, 2023 (Tuesday), at 2:30 PM, Don Bosco School, Shirva, celebrated Vanamahotsava with great enthusiasm.
The event was presided over by Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Leslie Clifford D’Souza, while Mrs. Jane Shailoh Quadras, a distinguished alumna of the school, was the chief guest. All the dignitaries on the dais symbolically planted a sapling in a pot to mark the occasion.
In her speech, the chief guest highlighted the importance of trees, emphasizing that they provide the oxygen essential for life. She also congratulated the organizers for conducting such a meaningful program. The president of the event encouraged every student to plant a sapling and nurture it diligently each year.
The Eco Club of the school presented a meaningful cultural program, adding a special touch to the celebration.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Maxon Rodrigues (Grade 11), who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, the organizing committee, and the students. The program was skillfully compered by Alisha (Grade 10).
